Song of the Moment: Wonderful World - James Morrison

Kind of obsessed with "Wonderful World" by James Morrison. I love the tone of his voice, and it's such a song where you're just driving in the car, spring day, windows down, and sing. Although it talks about wanting to cry, but that's besides the point. I love it.

First heard it from a contestant on American Idol... Alex Lambert (not Adam). Sadly, he just got voted off. Yes he was awkward and shy (performance-wise), but did you not hear his voice?!? Amaze.

Alice in Wonderland

So a couple of weeks ago, Ian and I went to the midnight showing of Alice in Wonderland. To much of his surprise, it was my first midnight showing. The thing is, I'm not a huge fan of crowds, and my thinking is, the movie's gonna play for a few months, I'll go when there aren't a bunch of crazies everywhere.

And now, I'm going to say this out loud, and hopefully none of you will judge me... I don't think I've ever seen the original Alice in Wonderland. I believe I've seen snippets of the cartoon series when I was younger, but then again, I'm not sure. Although, I do know little things about it, like the twins, and how she falls in a hole, grows and shrinks, and there's some sort of tea party. That's it. So going into this, it was just another movie to me. Keep this in mind when I tell you what I thought. But then again, one of my friends told me I didn't need to know the story to understand this film, because it's kind of like a "part two". ok.

So the movie was directed by Tim Burton. We all know he's a twisted man. Also, Johnny Depp is in the movie, should I say more? I liked the movie. It was surprisingly funny, and the 3D moments were nice. I was excited to see Anne Hathaway, and I liked her, but she seemed a bit trying. Does that make sense? I still like her tons though. I don't know who Helena Bonham Carter is, but she rocked it for me. And I'm pretty sure the "twins" were on the show Little Britain. All in all, I'd give it a 5.1. Keep in mind, I'm a pretty harsh rater (well, I'd like to think that). So yes, I said I liked it, and a 5.1 is above average. There you go.

The Perfect Garage Dance Party

I know what you're thinking already, and it's not the kind of dance party I'm about to talk about. I'm legit, talking about a dance party in a garage, and when I say "garage", I'm talking about a parking garage. Yes, like the one that costs money by the hour.

Here is the recipe to the perfect garage dance party: Four gay guys, one straight girl, an electric blue Toyota Yaris, three IPhones, Lady Gaga, and a parking garage. Here's how to make it perfect: You park in the garage per usual. After work, go out for some cocktails, come back to the car with the ingredients (the people), open your windows (or doors) and blast Lady Gaga. This will cause everyone to dance.

Why a parking garage you ask? Great acoustics.
