It's only "that time of year" if you're the kind of person that likes to do things early to "get them out of the way", or in my case...you REALLY needed the money. Funny thing about this; there has been lots of talk amongst my peers and colleagues about how our tax returns this year may be significantly less than last year's return. People even talked about how many of us may perhaps have to PAY BACK to the state/government! Whoa.
This actually cause a lot of anxiety for me, and for those who know me, the anxiety pretty much spread to many others... "Did you do your taxes yet? Is it less? Did you have to pay? What'd you get last year?"...(Walks to another friend) "Did you do your taxes yet? Oh, well I heard it's significantly less this year... Yeah... You may even have to pay back... Yeah I know!"Well to get my anxiety out of the way, I did it. I did my taxes... and guess what? I actually got a little bit more than I did last year. Granted I did have to pay tuition this year so that really helped, but at least i didn't have to pay back any money :) So let's take this time to take a big ol' sigh of relief...unless you wrote down "zero" when you first started your job. (or was it "1"? I never know which one is right). haha
